Trying to get caught up on updates … but all is well :)

My university work (uni) is good. Working on a journal article at the moment on the 2009 Australian “Summer of the Shark”.

I took a course in field experiments this week, very cool.

I went to Cairns, Australia for the Sharks International conference the week before and went out on the Great Barrier Reef (photos). Amazing!!! And great too! :)

Monday: Feb. 8 (17 days until Sydney).

- 30 inches of snow still outside. The Federal gov. is closed, so working from home.
- Sent out my Updated contact information today. Have a had a lot of great responses from old friends and new friends. Very nice. 385 people have read the email, which  is really nice! Only had 500 out of date email addresses in my gmail … lol
- Great talks with shark experts around the world as well.
- Still need housing in Sydney …. getting a little nervous.
- But it is 75 degrees there at the moment. Homelessness seems like a fine option :)

So … it’s snowing a bit here in DC today. We have had 24 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. So things are moving a little slow.

But I am excited to put out my release regarding my PhD in Sydney. I also working on my email update to friends and family and updating this website.

Oh, and I also need to pack and stay ontop of all the moving details. But things are good. I have 20 days until I board the plane.
