Experience:

With more than ten years of experience as a non-profit executive, consultant, lobbyist, public relations manager, data base manager and communications specialist, Chris has a broad range expertise. My skills also include issue management, grant writing, youth empowerment, strategic planning, direct mail fundraising, Board development, and media campaign development.

Chris has served as Executive Director of Outright Vermont; Political Director and Deputy Executive Director of the Palm Center (at the University of California, Santa Barbara); as Senior Program Manager of the advertising and public relations firm DDB Issues and Advocacy and as the Senior Policy Advocate and lobbyist for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network. In addition, Chris has worked for former Senator John Warner (R-VA) and Senator Harry Reid (D-NV).

Education:

Chris holds a Bachelors in Political Science from James Madison University and a Masters in Public Policy. He is also certified in group facilitation.

Ongoing Projects:

In 2006, Chris held a the first nation-wide forum for twinless twins in Australia and helped to found the Australian Twinless Twin network. Chris’s diverse experience includes several ongoing projects, including:

- Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy Newsletter: a resource for Hill staffers, Executive Branch staff and LGBTQ community members interested in the latest news and analysis on the repeal of DADT;
- Queer Youth Empowerment Project : a program to provide free best-practices support to emerging LGBTQ youth centers;
- The ‘We’re gonna need a bigger myth’ Monthly: a periodic update on shark bite response issues; and
- Twinloss Support Stories: an initiative to build twinless-twinship across nations following the loss of someone’s twin.
